Traditional Tyrolean gnocchi made with 100% Italian spinach
The Mamma Emma spätzle with spinach are inspired by the famous recipe of the Tyrolean spinach gnocchetti. This ancient recipe only used a few simple ingredients such as: soft wheat flour, eggs, water, and of course…spinach! Our Tyrolean gnocchi contain only Italian spinach. They are soft and quick to cook: directly in the pan, with the addition of 100 ml of water to the sauce of your choice.
The ingredients of our spinach spatzle are: type “0” wheat flour, spinach 30%, water, eggs, sunflower oil, salt. All selected to give you a healthy and genuine product, without preservatives.
Spätzle are typical of Tyrol but their origins are Germanic. The characteristic “drop” shape is made with a special tool: the Spätzlehobel, a grater that has a perforated base on which the dough is brought down. In this wonderful traditional product resides a very ancient art and culinary wisdom.
